You don't seriously believe this. Only the most mundane of UI changes can
be done without recompilation.

Unless you have a NeXT :-) Interface Builder is what the resource editor
SHOULD be.

and uses huge amounts of RAM. We're forced to sit back in the dark ages
writing GUI libraries and standards rather than writing applications with
refined, consistent, object-oriented GUI libraries.

Agreed. Unfortuneatly that is. A set of standard objects, like the NeXT
application kit could easily have taken care of everything we arguing about
and wishing for and would make program writing a snap.
